Happy Christmas!

Hope you and your loved ones have/had a wonderful day! Enjoy today and don't feel guilty for relaxing! You deserve it!

Mountains of chocolate, ready to be transformed into home baked goodness!

Cupcakes that are already gobbled up.

Some one's enjoying the holiday goodies!

"And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more."

It's FINALLY beginning to look like Christmas...

I was starting to get jealous reading other blogs weeks ago and they had already had the chance to decorate for the Holidays. I just barely started to pull my stuff out and I'm Finally in the Christmas mood!

I also finished the advent calendar:

I went shopping...but didn't buy any gifts:(

Put together Deer Land (inspired by the latest Martha)

and finished cards

Whew! It's not even Christmas and I'm exhausted!

A bit under the weather around here

That wee cold I mentioned in my last post...is full blown! Hopefully, this will be it for the season!
Mochi is also not feeling too well, I think her back legs are bothering her. So, we are definitely keeping our eyes open for better usage of those legs. I forgot to mention in the last post that I won a raffle prize at the Holiday Boutique

They are hand knitted booties! I'm calling them my little elf clogs...speaking of elf clogs, I have this project on my mind. I would like to make them for friends (as soon as this cold is gone). Also on my craft to do list is the Martha Stewart advent calendar I purchased from Michael's on sale for $9.

I need to get a move on it before the month is over :P
Hope all is well and healthy!

A great big Thank You...

to those of you who came out to support me! I had such a great time, I felt totally in my element. It was soooo nice to see friends I haven't seen in awhile. Thanks again for coming out. To those of you who are new to the blog (hopefully there are new friends here), Welcome and thanks for stopping by. Please bookmark me and check what I'm up to every so often.

Over all the boutique was a success! I wish I had more shows to do. As I was sitting there, I kept thinking to myself, how much fun it would be to open up a small online shop. I may pursue this but I need a wee bit of a break at the moment.
I had a great neighbor at the boutique, Amanda and Brett. They are tooo nice! and also the proud owner of Maybeline and Bundy (the 2 pixie monsters she adopted):

It's refreshing to meet like-minded people! Thanks Amanda for your company!
I finally made it to the Alameda Flea Market!

All man....if you haven't gone and love vintage items, this is the place to be! But be prepared and bring a cart, cash and be ready to bargain! Here are my goodies:

The best deal I got was a set of eight Halibut fish plates for $15 (originally $20). I was planning on gifting them to a couple that could appreciate their quirkiness, but I'm growing quite fond of them ;)
Hope you all have had a great weekend, unfortunately i caught a bit of a cold here and my bed is calling my name! Cheerio!

Down to the last wire

and I feel pretty prepared. I can't believe it has already been 6 weeks! The house has been in complete disarray, so Kev and Mochi will be pretty happy to get a cleaned up space again. The photos is a make shift display of what it may look like tomorrow at the boutique.

It's been fun creating all this stuff and I'm excited mostly, to see how the public reacts to my stuff. I know most of you can't come because of job duties but, if the boutique is successful I may start thinking of opening an on-line shop. Hmmm...we'll see.

HAPPY TURKEY DAY!

May your stuffing be tasty,
May your turkey be plump,
May your potatoes and
gravy have never a lump,
May your yams be delicious
and your pies take a prize and
May your Thanksgiving dinner

Up to my ears in...

Yo Yo garland! Another product that will be in the boutique. It will be sold by the foot. It can be used to decorate a lovely tree or a mantle or even a gift! I love it. I keep saying to myself "am I going to be ok with letting go of these hand-made items?" I can just imagine me at the boutique "Ah, I decided that garland is not for sale, oh you're interested in the pixie monster? they're not for sale either, in fact nothing is for sale, shop is closed." Hee hee.
Well, I have not falling short of keeping myself busy, that's for sure! I'm working steadily on boutique projects. I am also taking a sewing class too. Which I regret signing up for at this time (what was I thinking? right before the holidays?)

These Pixie Monsters are ready to go:

They all have such great character!

and last night I worked on the marketing side of business

Business cards, bags and such!

Hope you've all had a good Monday!

:Peter Gibbons: Hey, guys.
Michael Bolton: What's up, G?
Peter Gibbons: Want to go to Chotchkie's? Get some coffee?
Samir: Oh, it's a little early.
Peter Gibbons: I gotta get outta here. I think I'm gonna lose it.
Female Temp: Uh-oh. Sounds like somebody's got a case of the Mondays."

Big O' Bowl...

of noodles! On a cold night I love this comfort food. If I had to choose one food to live on forever, it would be noodles!
Well, I've been working steadily on boutique stuff. Pixie Monsters are being created day by day.

Hope you have had a good week so far. I gotta get back to sewing.

"I have noodles in my nostrils. I have noodles on my nose. There are noodles on my cheeks and chin and
dripping down my clothes. I've got more upon my forehead. Some are sticking to my neck.
It's completely disconcerting. I'm a noodle-covered wreck. I can see them on my kneecaps,
and I know they're in my shoes. (When I stand they're somewhat squishy and I feel them start to ooze.)

There are several in my pockets. There's a handful in my hair. And I'm pretty sure that some are even
in my underwear. So try not to do what I did (I'm a total nincompoop), and don't ever fall asleep
while eating noodle soup."

Lazy weekend...

for Mochi that is! For me it was work, work, work on items for the Holiday Boutique. Just a reminder, it's on November 30th at Camino Medical Group in Mountain View....mark your calenders. The following items want to be bought up by you!

and now I'm onto making the next item

Aside from taking over the living room with my craft items, here's what else is taking over...

This is in 3 parts of the house! eek!

Boo...

Hoo! Halloween is over! I hate when such a fun day has to come to an end. I had a VERY last minute shindig last night.

I had a great last minute idea...

Just happen to have severed fingers laying around.
Last weekend I did a little bit of thrifting and found these:

It was one of the best thrifting trips in a long time. For some unknowing reason I LOVE hot air balloons. So, you can imagine the excitment when I found the fabric! And I love the owl piece. It's one of those fabrics that is going to be savored for a long time!
Lastly, I been working very hard on making items for the boutique...here's the evidence:

Which reminds me...I better get back to work! But not without a quote.

"There's a goblin at my window,
A monster by my door.
The pumpkin at my table
Keeps on smiling more and more.
There's a ghost who haunts my bedroom,
A witch whose face is green.
They used to be my family,
Till they dressed for Halloween."

P.S. Pumpkin number 3 Romy and Martin's is the winner (big pumpkin eating little pumpkin), number 2 Geri and Barbara's (Chanel pumpkin) could of won if he didn't cheat!
