I don't have much to say...

But I DO have photos to share! I was inspired by this and just in the nick of time. My own bits and baubles was outgrowing my plastic container. Here is my collection:

It makes my heart flutter with joy just to look at this!

Another thing that makes my heart flutter is items that are under $5 like these:

A Christian Dior tie for $1.50, unheard of!

Did you drink green beer?

A few drinks on a Monday makes me feel like I'm getting away with something, but being that it's the beginning of the week it allows for self control! Sunday night, I decided that I NEEDED something green so I wouldn't get pinched, I whipped the above pin up. I adore this tiny piece!

The rest of the weekend was spent shopping, eating and putting wedding invites together (no, not mine). Here's some of the evidence:

Millinery covered hat

Cherry and Lime girls

Fabulous vintage earrings

Delicate vintage napkins

My friend Andy gave me this homemade Christmas gift (yes, Christmas)

This guy just knows me!

I also received this on my doorstep from Little Pink Studio

The question of what Erin Go Braugh means came up several times over the weekend. I will end this post with the definition:
Erin Go Bragh (also sometimes: Erin Go Braugh) is the Anglicization of a Gaelic phrase used to express allegiance to Ireland. It is most often translated as "Ireland Forever",[1] and pronounced /ˈɛrɪn gə brɔː/.

Wormery

Step 1:

Step 2:

Step 3:

Step 4:
See the worms?

Lately, I've been really feeling the affect of the environment and I've come to the realization that we really need to be more Green! I first started with recycling more, then I started to buy more organic foods and items (when I can afford it), now I've decided to take it a step further and do something beneficial to the environment and to my garden! Over the weekend I created the above worm compost bin. All for under $20. Now I can throw all my food scraps (no meat or bones) in the bin and in 3-4 months I get "black gold". I figure I'm probably never going to become 100% green but I can definitely be more pro-active.
For more detailed directions, visit this site!

I also wanted to mention that one of my favorite artist Miss Black Apple will be on Martha tomorrow making one of her fabulous dolls that I can never seem to get a hold of because she sells out within 5 minutes after posting! Watch it, record it, find it on line, do what ever you have to do to check her out. You won't be disappointed!

P.S. Be on the look out for my Nest of Notions that will be posted here and in the shop!

The Flea::

market is how I spent my gorgeous Sunday. Wanna see my purchases?

My goal was to purchase millinery flowers. Oh how I fulfilled my goal! I wish I had more money! I also found a stack of ceramic dishes, painted with dainty pink flowers. They are vintage and almost every one has a chip in it. But to me it's character! Should I make them into candles or fill them with treats for the Etsy shop? Let me know what you think.
Since I was a young lass (Thanks Nancie for catching the typo), i've always loved surprise goody bags. I remember when Gift Gate (a Sanrio store) use to sell bags full of stuff you couldn't see until you purchased it and ripped it open to find lots of fun goodness. So you can imagine how I felt when I got 2 ziploc bags full of random jewlery (bottom photos). Kev and I spent an hour or so rummaging through the pile. I found some really cool pieces, but there is a share of the cheezy items!

I also found this, my favorite purchase of all

It's a pin cushion with a measuring tape (couldn't get a descent photo of the tape) at the base! Agh! I adore this piece! I'm starting to become a regular at the Flea, good for my soul, not so good for the pocketbook and my shoulders. It takes me the rest of the weekend for my shoulders to recover from putting the weight of my purchases upon them. I need to invest in a shopping cart. But you know me, I don't want just a basic modern one, no no...I always gotta be different. I want a vintage one that is weathered but in good condition. One that has history and I want it to be silver. Picky Picky!

I spent the other part of my weekend sewing this

It was one of those toy panel outfits. I think some baby blue pom pom trim would really finish this cute little outfit!
