This was on Christmas Morning. Enjoying a cup of tea and flipping through a new book. Bliss.
While we're on the subject of Polaroids, I found PX 680 polaroid film at Urban Outfitters. This film is optimized to fit the Polaroid 600 cameras we all know and love. Although at a hefty price $28 for 8 shots. That's about what you pay if you find it on Ebay, but running the risk that the film has gone bad.

Big Foot Dinner
A Big Foot dinner was afoot (pun intended) for some dear friends. I needed a centerpiece so I hopped on Ebay immediately to bid on a figurine and faux bois fabric.
Big Foot was housed under a glass dome with a tree to give him some depth. My dear friend is always quoting "We're really doing it" so I thought it was appropriate to print it on clear film and wrap the glass dome with it.
Here's a better shot of the faux bois table cloth.
The woodlands started coming together around big foot. The LED string lights are so common now and worked perfectly with the centerpiece. The little trees were actually on my christmas wish lists and K let me open them early :)
The mini mushrooms were purchased on my trip to Castle In The Air.
The animals are normally used in my Christmas displays, it was nice to see them in a woodland scene instead of in the snow where them normally reside.
As each guest were seated they were greeted to a wood box filled with toys and treats!
Earth toned balloons swayed directly above the table for height.
Now a big foot dinner isn't complete without a cake!
Sugar Butter Flour Bakery created this fantastic foot!
We asked the baker to make the toenails yellow and she added the cracks a perfect detail!
We hoped you enjoyed peeking into our Big Foot Festivities!
"People from very different backgrounds and different parts of the world have described very similar creatures, behaving in similar ways, and uttering some strikingly similar sounds," she said. "As far as I am concerned, the existence of hominids of this sort is a very real probability."

Polaroid Tuesday :: Week 59
Last Friday my Sister In Law treated me to the Tori Amos show at the Paramount Theater in Oakland. I LOVED the style of this theater. It was classy just like Tori herself. Here are a few more photos of the theater.
"Music has always been healing for me, since I was little. I can really be in pain, then listen to or play music, and I feel things...ease. I feel the music play me, so that I become an instrument that it plays."

Week Wrap Up
• What I'm adding to my list of crafting. Full Tutorial here.
• I'm seriously running out of time for holiday shopping.
• I've already had a Holiday meltdown earlier in the week.
• Knitting with 3 needles is not as easy as it looks.
• I can't convince myself to go to the gym around the holidays.
• Did you know that Ruche has a blog? I had no idea!
Hope you had a classy week!
Clark: Since this is Aunt Bethany's 80th Christmas, I think she should lead us in the saying of Grace.
Aunt Bethany: [turns to Lewis] What, dear?
Nora Griswold: Grace!
Aunt Bethany: Grace? She passed away thirty years ago.
Uncle Lewis: They want you to say Grace.
Uncle Lewis: The BLESSING!
Aunt Bethany: I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands/ One nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
Clark: Amen.

Over the Weekend...
We visited a couple of stores in Berkley...
A Castle In The Air is a must see if you love German imported goods, especially crepe paper!
I cannot resist mushrooms!
Doll head candles!
More mushrooms, I will make these someday.
I gifted myself a pack of crepe paper.
The other must see is A Tale of Yak Trading Company. I only discovered this store recently through the Oh Happy Day blog. I was in love as soon as I walked through the doors.
This goat was all paper mache! What! Amazing!
Both these stores are inspirational for me. Love it!

Polaroid Tuesday :: Week 58
A simple display with trees from Diddams for $8 each, paper cut animals using images from this book, lights and faux snow. Originally I wanted to make this an advent calendar display, but sadly I ran out of time and didn't get to wrap 25 little packages. There's always next year.
"Forests, lakes, and rivers, clouds and winds, stars and flowers, stupendous glaciers and crystal snowflakes - every form of animate or inanimate existence, leaves its impress upon the soul of man."

It wouldn't be the holidays without someone saying "you'll shoot your eye out!"
- Change is welcome.
- I learned how to make Tamales this week!!! Just in time for Christmas.
- From the Tamale class I learned that Pork Butt is sometimes referred to as "cushion meat".

- The Ugly Ducking truly turns into a Swan.
Ralphie: I want an official Red Ryder, carbine action, two-hundred shot range model air rifle!
Mrs. Parker: No, you'll shoot your eye out.

Over The Weekend...
I attended a wonderful baby shower that were outfitted with these awesome chairs and couches...
Drank yummy coffee out of tea cups...
Loved the pink tights against this pattern...
Decorated with ribbon candy, too pretty to eat!
My collection of vintage ornaments are perfect next to the ribbon candy...
Santa is up in the house which means Christmas has officially begun at Pixie Paper Arts!
“I got up one morning and couldn't find my socks, so I called Information. She said, "Hello, Information." I said, "I can't find my socks." She said, "They're behind the couch." And they were!”

Pumpkin Muffins
I baked the most delicious pumpkin muffins recently by following this recipe.
It makes almost 3 dozen muffins! This is truly a no fail recipe that will have your friends and family asking for the recipe!
