It's Complicated...
Have you seen the movie? The house is by far one of the most gorgeous movie houses! This blog has pretty good write up and Traditional Home has photos of the set.
It has inspired me to:
• Keep fresh flowers around!
• Decorate with food under glass!
• Keep potted herbs in the kitchen
or keep cut herbs in a vase!
• Light more candles!
• Work in the garden more!
• Learn how to make lavender ice cream!
I adore Steve Martin but I don't particularly enjoy seeing Alec Baldwin in the buff. However, if you like the decor of Practical Magic, Under the Tuscan Sun, then pick this movie up!

10 Things I'm Thankful For...
Besides Family, Friends, Health, Life, and Work.
(image from Dave Barry Blog)
1. Martha Stewart (Yeh, I said it)
2. Dog Love from my very own Mochi
3. Crepe Paper (I have my reasons)
4. Organization (because I'm a freak)
5. Football (It's a love/hate relationship)
6. Glitter (Why question it?)
7. Flea Markets, Estate sales, any place that sells used stuff
8. My hands (they are my tools)
9. Advil
10. Target (Why can't I get out of there without spending at least $40)
What are you Thankful for? Have a Jolly Thanksgiving!

Skipping On Thanksgiving Decor?
Does anybody else feel Thanksgiving is getting ripped off this year? It seems to me the retail markets have gone straight from Halloween to Christmas! Well, in our household I've been trying to prolong the pumpkin season. I had to think of creative ways to display these squashes, so it doesn't resemble Halloween too much.
Gourds can go either way (Halloween or Thanksgiving) and still look festive!
If you're looking to get that fall touch, you can't fail with gorgeous apples!
How can you go wrong with fall colored candies?
Caramels with gold wrapping (notice it's half empty)!
and not to be too monotone with the fall colors, a splash of lime green mums gives an untraditional twist!
How are you decorating for Turkey day?
"Oh how we love pumpkin season. You did know this gourd-ish squash has its own season, right? Winter, Spring, Summer, Pumpkin.... We anxiously anticipate it every year. "

Polaroid Tuesday :: Week 25
I tested this Pineapple Upside Down Cake (minus the pecans) and it's a definite go for our Thanksgiving holiday!

It's been a bit quiet over here at Pixie Paper Arts due to a lovely wedding we attended in Austin,Texas. It was a beauty of a wedding and the couple are just meant for each other! Congrats Karin and John!

White Rabbit: "Your Majesty, members of the jury, loyal subjects... and the King... the prisoner at the bar stands accused of enticing Her Majesty, the Queen of Hearts, into a game of croquet, thereby and with malice of forethought, molesting, tormenting, and otherwise annoying our beloved..."

A Halloween Not for the Squeamish ...
WARNING:
If you have a weak stomach or have a fear of Zombies...this is not the post for you!
The undead congregated on the eve of Halloween for a celebration!
A frightful moan filled the air...
As we sniffed for brain to feast on...
Poor innocent souls were made into zombies!
All photos were taking by Andy Nguyen Photography. Awesome work! Please check out his blog!
